Companionship
December 28, 2015
Companionship comes in many forms, from best friends, spouses, co-workers to animals.
I wish to speak of my companions, they have four legs, fur and speak in ways that are foreign to me for the most part, but their body movements, looks and manners speak clearly. My companions are a cat and a dog. Both came to me thru rescue from a live that is still a mystery to me but they came to me for a reason.
The dog came first sneaking in the house through an open door one rainy night, a pup no more than six months old, dirty, covered with ticks. After cleaning him up and giving some water he bonded with me quickly, him to me! It took some time for me to get used to having a dog and the road was not always smooth, but he persisted in wanting to be my companion and he won! He was named Red, not fancy, but simple and quick!
The cat, also a rescue, was found one night as I was attempting to leave work. A kitten no more than eight weeks old found lodged inside an engine compartment of a PT Cruiser, after one of the company’s mechanics freed him, he was handed to me because I was the Supervisor and I knew what to do. I took him home in a box punched with holes, scared, dirty and covered in fleas.
That night when I got home the dog met the cat and a friendship began which led to a companionship for all concerned, them, me and us! After getting the kitten cleaned and checked he is here to stay also! He was named Cruiser for the vehicle he was saved from!
Now some close to eight years later three old men share a home and companionship. There have been many days that I say a thank you to God for bringing them to me and me to them! I sometimes call them brothers and they seem to know they are brothers from another mother!
When I think I’m ready to give up because of a bad day (perceived or real) they find a way to show their companionship, fondness and love to me and bring forth the smile that was hidden because of that earlier day.
If you are so blessed or lucky to have a four legged companion, say thanks to them for being with you as I do each day they bring the smile out of me. My companions are here to stay for we all make this a forever home! Thank You to God for bringing them my way!!
Taking a stroll together and headed my way! What a crew!

Reflecting on 2015!

Saying so long 2015
As 2015 draws to a close I share moments from the year that have been significant to me and some others. The images are ones that bring forth a smile from my heart and also a tear from my eye. Some moments are bittersweet, but all have a meaning to me. Most of the images have been shared in other means on social media, but again these I find to mean a lot to mean!
It is my hope that they have made others smile and if the image brought forth a tear then it has touched your heart as it touched mine, so we share a “Life’s Moment” together.
For each image shared an explanation of its significance will be shared through words, but as the saying goes “A picture is Worth A Thousand Words!” I hope you see the meaning to each image?
My hopes that 2016 be filled with many more “Life Moments” than 2015 did! May your 2016 bring you many “Life’s Moments” that touch your heart and make you smile and if a tear should be shed try and be happy that it happened, not sad that it occurred! To all that read this I shall always wish you the best that “Life” has!!

Christmas Day 2015
December 25, 2015
Christmas day has arrived! The year 2015 draws to a close, only a few days remain and a new year 2016 will be upon us!
This Christmas has been awesome it has brought forth the greatest gifts one can ask for. Those being another day of Life and it has brought forth Love, with the double LL many things can be accomplished!! I hope that all who scan these words have had a wonderful and loving Christmas with family and friends who always make the heart smile!
I too am blessed to have moments of joy brought forth my furry companions who share Life and make Life with me, without their unconditional love this Life would be very lonesome and without many smiles.
I am also reminded to say Thanks to God for allowing His Son, Jesus to enter on this day, I bid a Happy Birthday to You Jesus!!!
I hope that all have a grand day today and for the days to follow! Will see more of you with the New Year, it will be the year of “The Photograph” and “The Smile”! Merry Christmas to all!!

Never Foget

Welcome to my house!

Family!!

Through these doors was made a good “LIFE”
It has been a whirlwind weekend, starting on Friday I returned home to New York City and reunited with family I have not seen in many years, in some cases since childhood (40-50 years ago). A short visit but with long and blissful memories. Spent Saturday visiting my old neighborhood, then on to One World Trade and then on to the 9/11 museum, finished off the night with a great dinner and desert that took me back to being a kid of 10! Saw a musical at Madison Square Garden and remembered what it was like to feel the cold wind come off the river.
But most of all in such a short visit was made memories that will last the remainder of my days. I share some of the images from the visit and a thought to all! No matter how much money you have or the station in your life the love of family is the best gift one can ever possess and the best gift one can pass on!
I wish to all a Very Merry Christmas! Pass along the love you have and a smile to all that make you smile!!
A Monday in the books!
December 14, 2015
Another Monday is in the books!! Looking forward to a short week and a flight back home, NYC bound for the weekend, a get together with family and a walk thru the old neighborhood and the places of my youth. A visit with cousins not seen since our youth. I’m excited and nervous all in the same moment. Looking so forward to seeing “The Naked City, “The Big Apple”, “The City that Never Sleeps”, but most of all my hometown! Be looking for photos and more blogs and photos in the New Year, 2016 is going to be the “Year of the Photograph”!!!
Back to blogging! It’s been a long time!!
December 12, 2015
I started this in 2009 and have been on and off with this blog so many times. I am trying this with a new conviction and mind set, so here we go again!! The Christmas holidays are hear just a few more days till Christmas is here and then the start of a New Year. I wish to make 2016 the year of the Photograph. Some call it a 365 project and so I start that on the 1st day of the New Year. I hope to complete it and hear comments from those that dare to browse this blog. SO for now I wish all a very Merry Christmas and the best and Happiest New Year in 2016!!
Thanksgiving
November 24, 2013
As the thanksgiving holiday approaches I think of all that I am thankful for and find that my fijgers would give out before I ever got near the end of the list of thanks! So in short, I am thankful for family, friend’s, teammates, people who have showed me kindnesses throughout my life and to Jesus who until recently I never thanked for his sacrifice for us and to The Father who has kept me out of harm’s way all these years! I also a thankful forball the “Fur People” who have shared life with me, for your love was unconditional. These are the things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving!

A new week ahead
July 21, 2013
When I was in the army the week always started on a Sunday, so is mine. Not working the real job, just doing the work around the house, laudry, dishes, and moving the dust around again. The best week was just there, the only big thing that came out of it was a change in the way I think of myself. This is a goodnthing for it I stay on the road I am will hurt more than it’s worth and it not worth it.
Helped a friend move from one place, fun but the heat got to me. Glad I co6ld get the kid heavy stuff moved! Hopefully all goes well for the kid in the new place?
Well here are some photos from the week. Have greatbweek all!

Sunday Morning
July 14, 2013
I find that self doubt is an acid which eats away at your heart, mind and soul is so corrosive that it poisons the view of all life. The few times it does not is when I view innocence such as the fur people or a young child or a truly good hearted person then I am rid of that horrid monster inside. I work hard to drive doubt from it’s hiding place within and build the wall to keep him out.
For now I fight it with what makes me smile, the camera and the fur people!
