A Tough Weekend for Tough People!

This weekend was a tough one for Texas State Softball, swept in a series with the fourth ranked team in the nation ULL.

I got to watch the doubleheader on Saturday via ESPN and followed todays game via Live Stats, but I found myself wishing I was there to support and capture moments on the field for these amazing folks. I remembered that supporting someone can and should be done at any time and from anywhere so that in my heart I was there in mind, soul and heart!!

While watching Saturday’s games I again found myself in awe of the heart and hustle displayed on the field, never quitting, never giving up, they kept fighting, always digging in! I guess through it all I’m in it for the these folks yesterday, today and all tomorrow’s to come!

From everyone on this team, past present yet to come, you have one guy on your side, cause you’ve worked hard to get where you are and that kind of heart and hustle deserves the best support that can come your way.

To all the athletes, coach’s, SID’s, trainers and parents thank you for all the hard work, effort, hours, sweat, blood, tears and smiles! Thank you for making a “Field a place where Dreams Become Reality”! Most of all Thank You for always making me feel at home, for being around you all make me forget the numeric age and relive the age of youth!!!

It was a tough weekend for you all, my hope is that lessons where learned and lessons learned will lead to new strategies on taking on whoever comes on the field to face you! Never loose the smile that lives in your heart for that smile makes the darkest days be filled with light!! You all are my Champions!!!
